Kentucky's portal class grew to six on Saturday with the addition of Tennessee Tech infielder Owen Lee. Lee, who appeared in 106 games for Tennessee Tech over the past two seasons, is coming off a season in which he slashed .290/.401/.552 with 10 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs and 42 runs batted in. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Lee had eight doubles and nine homers.
Lee announced his decision on social media on Saturday.

In a game against Middle Tennessee State in the 2025 season, Lee tied the Tennessee Tech school record with three home runs in a game. He was the 13th player in school history to accomplish that feat. Lee homered in the season opener against Texas A&M this season, and also had a multi-homer game at Lindenwood on May 10.
In 25 conference games in the Ohio Valley, Lee slashed .283/.398/.565 with 15 walks, five doubles, seven home runs and 17 RBIs. His best month was in April when he hit .333 and slugged .644.
Lee has two years of eligibility remaining. He is from Trenton, Tennessee.
The Wildcats had been looking to add another left-handed hitter capable of playing shortstop. With Tyler Bell likely becoming a top 10 draft pick next month and Luke Lawrence graduating, adding versatility up the middle has been important. Kentucky has a commitment from one of the top junior college shortstops in the country in Jimmy Anderson and could still return Ethan Hindle, who would likely play second base next year if he were to return to school. Wright State transfer JP Peltier can play all around the diamond and could be another option for the infield. All three players are draft-eligible.

- UTIL JP Peltier (Wright State)
- LHP Kale Hammer (Seattle University)
- RHP Logan Hastings (Maryland)
- RHP PJ Craig (Rider)
