Scrimmage observations (9/23): Freshman Carson May has a day
Here's what happened during Kentucky's first intrasquad of the fall.
It finally felt like fall on Wednesday in Lexington, with temps in the high 60s and clouds covering the sunshine. Summer hung around for a while but fall has arrived, meaning Kentucky baseball is back in action. Wednesday kicked off the first intrasquad scrimmage for the 2026 fall season.
The scrimmage lasted four innings and the team got a lot of work done, including different defensive alignments, testing out the ABS challenge system and getting some swings in. Not that it matters much, but the Blue team won the scrimmage 4-2.
Here is how the starting lineups looked for the first scrimmage of the fall campaign. Quick reminder that all scoring is unofficial:
