Tip o' the cap for Tagger

Tagger Tyson deserves recognition for shouldering the load behind the plate recently. The Louisville transfer saw steady action but was essentially part of a catching rotation last spring; in 33 games, he started/finished 13 at catcher, entered as a pinch-hitter 14 times, was subbed out on five occasions and had one start at DH. Lately, he has taken on the bulk of the catching duties and has struggled at times, but has really laid it on the line. With senior Alex Duffey out for the season and without a clear timeline on the return of freshman Owen Jenkins, it looks like Tyson and primary outfielder Ryan Schwartz are the last options left.
