Fall practice wrapped up on Oct. 26 with a scrimmage against Morehead State. In all, the Wildcats played 28 innings against outside competition and held numerous intrasquads that were open to the public. Bat Cats Central had extensive coverage this fall. Every story can be found on the website under the 'fall reports' section.

But with a quiet period upcoming, it's time to reflect on what transpired over the past six weeks. Today's story is on the biggest remaining question marks as fall practice is now over.

On Friday, I'll have a post-fall projected starting lineup. We'll also have a projected pitching staff piece coming out next week. While the SEC schedule has been finalized, the full-season schedule should be known relatively soon as well.

But with that said, here are three questions I'm thinking about for the 2026 Wildcats.

Has a favorite emerged behind the plate?

There are a few scenarios worth examining when it comes to the starting nine, but generally speaking, most positions seem to be solidified for the spring. However, the least clear spot appears to be behind the dish.

Senior Elon transfer Alex Duffey, junior Louisville transfer Tagger Tyson and freshman Lexington native Owen Jenkins all competed throughout the fall schedule, and each brings something a little different to the lineup.
