Kentucky baseball held its fifth open scrimmage on Friday at Kentucky Proud Park as its fall season rolls on, gearing up for the 2026 campaign. Observations

  • Jayce Tharnish crushed the ball today, finishing the scrimmage 3-3 with a walk. In his first at-bat, the junior roped a triple that jumped off his bat at 104 miles per hour. The next time at the dish, he hooked a double down the left-field line. This one was not as sweltering off the bat, registering at 83 mph. The outfielder lit up the scoreboard in his third at-bat with a single at 101 mph to the opposite field. This was a beautiful swing and a great situational hit as well because Tyler Bell was at first and easily moved to third.
