In the starting lineup for the first time in 22 days, senior left fielder Scott Campbell Jr. found himself at the plate with the bases loaded early in Saturday's game against Missouri.

With two outs and Kentucky already holding a 4-0 lead, Campbell Jr. connected with a slider in the bottom of the strike zone and launched it over the Wildcats' bullpen in left field. It was Campbell's second grand slam of the season, but his first homer in SEC play. Most importantly for his team, it provided some cushion in a 9-2 victory over the Tigers.

"Super happy for Scott Campbell Jr.," Kentucky coach Nick Mingione said. "That was awesome...Coach (Chase) Slone has a saying that the game rewards those who play it the right way. He has just been unbelievable. He's continued to work, continued to watch video, continued to try to get better, so for him to have that moment was super special. He definitely deserved it."
