Scrimmage Observations (9/28): Schwartz homers; Lawrence, Hansen have good days
Kentucky baseball completed its third scrimmage this week. Here’s a full report from Sunday’s action.

But following his sophomore season, he departed the program and signed with Memphis. He once again hit over .300, finishing the season .303/.398/.406 with 13 doubles and one homer, but missed the final three weeks of the season with an illness. Following the 2024 season, Marcy again entered the portal looking for a new destination.

Kentucky, following the 2024 MLB Draft, added Marcy to its transfer class. He was one of the most impressive hitters during fall practice and earned the starting center field job for opening day. But Marcy started the season slow, going just 3-26 at the plate. He was out of the lineup for a few games, but had made consecutive starts in early March against Wofford and Northern Illinois. It was in the NIU game that Marcy – who was 1-2 with a run scored to that point – suffered a leg injury in the fifth inning that wound up costing him the rest of the season. Due to the limited number of games he played, Marcy redshirted and returned to Kentucky for his final season.
