Kentucky landed a commitment from one of its top targets in the 2026 class last week.
Robert Omidi, ranked as the No. 1 prospect in Ontario by Prep Baseball Report and a top-150 player overall in the class by both PBR and Perfect Game, committed to the Wildcats on Oct. 17. He visited Lexington in late September, which led to his commitment a few weeks later.
A 6-1, 185-pound lefthanded hitting infielder, Omidi was a Prep Baseball Report Future Games participant. He’s been recorded with a max exit velo at the plate of 101.9 mph at a PBR event and ran a 7.04 60-yard dash.
