On Wednesday, Kentucky’s historic 2024 season ended in Omaha, Nebraska, with a 15-4 loss to SEC foe Florida in an elimination game. The Wildcats finished the season 46-16, setting a school record for overall wins in a season and the best postseason finish in program history. This will be a season that lives on forever in Kentucky athletics lore.
The coaching staff and players will soon return to Lexington and take time to reflect on what’s transpired. They have brought a new interest to the baseball program and potentially formed a new generation of fans.
But the offseason is now here. It’s time to take a first look at what will happen in the coming weeks and answer (and pose) the questions that will shape the 2025 roster.
